Place your wooden object in an airtight bag, then put it in the freezer for a few weeks. This trick will help kill all the insects (for example, worms and larvae) hidden inside. There are many scary stories on the Web telling how there was that huge and dangerous spider hidden in something someone brought from overseas. No worries, this is not what we’re talking about. We’re mostly thinking about small flies that might have laid eggs in creases.
